Abu Huraira said, “The worst food is the food of a wedding banquet in which the rich are invited but the poor are left out.”

"Marriage banquet" is called as Walima in Arabic. Its one of the traditional aspect of a islamic marriage ceremony. The meaning of walima is "to gather or to assemble". Walima can be conducted once the nikah is over.
Anas(RA) Narrated :The Prophet Mohammed (SAW) stayed for 3 days at a place between Khaibar & Medina, and there he consummated his marriage with Safiyya bint Huyay. I invited the Muslims to a banquet(Walima) which included neither meat nor bread. The Prophet ordered for the leather dining sheets to be spread, and then dates, dried yogurt and butter were provided over it, and that was the Walima (banquet) of the Prophet.
